This will always exist in any game where you can trade off items to other players. someone will always find a way to make a real life profit off of the game, justl ike with diablo 2 and other games that have been sen with items on ebay in the past. And 99% of the time, its people with bots that do nothing but farm for the items that they feel will make them money, then have a friend or themselves come in and jack up the price so you feel justified by buying it.

People definately buy this stuff, if they didn't then these people wouldn't be listing their items on there (it costs money just to make a listing). What I don't get is, what's the point?
First of all, any items/mods that I've been seeing have generally been way too expensive compared to gold. Why buy something for, say, $10, when you can get whatever platinum for that amount, buy that item in game, and still have gold left over? Second, what's the point of buying gold...I mean, doesn't that completely take away from the game? Same thing as cheating...and if you already have like 100k what's the point of continuing to play, other than pvp? |

This probably sounds like a stupid question, but isn't it totally illegal to be buying/selling game items on eBay? I know it's illegal to sell gil from Final Fantasy XI (I wasted so much time playing that game) I just wondered if it applied here aswell.
